Drymix Easy to Mix ready-to-use concrete is the ideal, simple to prepare concrete for use around the home and garden. Perfect for poles, posts and pathways, just add water.
Drymix Easy to Mix is a carefully proportioned blend of high quality materials including rounded river run sands and aggregates, Portland Cement and special concrete admixtures. After mixing with water, Easy to Mix is designed to produce a concrete mix that's easy to work with and provides excellent strength. The performance and convenience of Easy to Mix make it particularly suited for concrete jobs around the home and garden. It is perfect for small jobs such as poles, posts and garden pathways. Particularly useful in areas where access or cleaning up is difficult.
When mixed according to the instructions, Easy to Mix concrete will exceed a 28-day compressive strength of 20MPa.
QUANTITIES:
The addition of 4 litres of water to a 40kg bag of EASY TO MIX will produce around 18½ litres of concrete, enough for a rectangular slab measuring 1000 x 480 x 40mm or its equivalent.
Avoid Excess Water
Excess water reduces durability and strength.
HANDY TIPS:
- Mix the concrete thoroughly to a uniform colour and consistency.
- Place the concrete carefully and compact thoroughly.
- Finish to the desired texture, taking care not to over-trowel the surface.
- Protect the concrete by keeping it continually moist for at least 7 days.
STORAGE:
Keep dry and store off the ground.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Concrete Mixer
- Put most of the 4 litres of water per 40kg bag of EASY TO MIX into the mixer bowl and start mixer.
- Gradually add the EASY TO MIX while the mixer is rotating.
- Add the remaining water only if necessary.
Hand Mixing
- Empty the EASY TO MIX into a wheelbarrow, bucket or fl at clean surface. Measure 4 litres of clean water per 40kg bag.
- Gradually add the water in stages, mixing thoroughly with a spade or similar after each addition of water.
- Check on the consistency of the concrete. Use no more water than is necessary to allow the concrete to be easily placed and fi nished.
